Knauf Insulation requires details of your primary role, phone number and your email address which will be used solely for the purpose of contacting you in relation to your enquiry, by phone or by email. Such communications may also include information in relation to new product lines, product updates, details of current and future projects, quality and technical issues and a newsletter. In addition to your email address, you also have the option to provide your full name, company name, post code and the city where you live but this information is not mandatory.

Knauf Insulation will not send you any information or materials unless you give your consent to opt into email marketing by ticking the opt-in box and providing your email address. Knauf Insulation requires your primary role and email address to send the most relevant marketing information to you in the most time and cost-efficient manner. 

You can withdraw your consent and opt out of email marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in all marketing email footers. You may also email us at [email protected] and request we opt you out of future email marketing. 

Your data will be retained by Knauf Insulation indefinitely whilst you continue to interact with Knauf Insulation communications. If there is no activity or interaction after eighteen months, for example by clicking on links, opening emails, or visiting the site, the data will be deleted (“inactive data”).

For any queries and requests relating to Knauf Insulation products, including technical matters, you can complete the relevant Contact Form and the appropriate Knauf Insulation resource will contact you to help. You will need to provide your full name, the name of your company (if applicable), email address, location, and phone number. 

You will also have the option to add in any additional comments or data which you deem relevant, but this information is not mandatory. You can also opt-in to the Knauf Insulation newsletter in this section by ticking the opt-in tick box.

Knauf Insulation requires this data to be able provide a response to your request (including providing follow up information as necessary) and to retain an accurate and up to date record of customer information and requirements for relationship management purposes. Without this data, Knauf Insulation would not be able to respond or follow up in the most effective manner to your request.

Data provided under the Contact Forms is forwarded to a Knauf Insulation internal mail system tool on aAmerican server for processing by a designated business support team to respond to your request accordingly. Knauf Insulation retains the data indefinitely.

Data provided under the Contact Forms is forwarded to an internal email address on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) server in America and then sent to the applicable (in terms of geographical location) designated business support or internal technical sales team for processing and helping.

Your data will be retained by Knauf Insulation indefinitely whilst you continue to interact with Knauf Insulation Limited communications. If there is no activity or interaction after eighteen months, for example by clicking on links, opening emails, or visiting the site, the data will be deleted (“inactive data). 

Additional Contact Forms

For any requests relating to, or requiring, project assistance, industry specific content or any general enquiries, you can complete the relevant form on the landing pages of the website and the appropriate Knauf Insulation resource will contact you to help. You will need to provide your full name, town/city, phone number and email address. 

Knauf Insulation requires this data to be able to provide the requested assistance and to retain an accurate and up to date record of customer information and requirements for relationship management purposes. Without this data, Knauf Insulation would not be able to provide the assistance in the most timely and efficient manner.

The data provided is forwarded to an internal email address in Norway for processing by a designated business support team to provide the requested assistance.

Customer Database

Knauf Insulation maintains an archive customer database in Norway which serves as a repository for all project information, company information and contact details provided through forms on our website for the purpose of satisfying customer requests, supplying technical support, configuring systems and products and publishing location details of third parties such as distributors and contractors on its Norway website.

Right of Access

  • Knauf Insulation requires your personal data to establish, bring or defend a legal claim even though it no longer requires the data for its original purpose, you may request that the processing is restricted pending final resolution of the claim.

Erasure

Where Knauf Insulation processes your data based on explicit consent, if you withdraw that consent and Knauf Insulation has not relied on any other legal ground for processing (see section on personal data and purpose of processing), you have the right to request erasure of that data. 

Data Portability

If Knauf Insulation processes personal data based on your consent or to enter a contract with you, you may obtain that personal data directly from Knauf Insulation in any structured, commonly used, machine readable format or indirectly by us providing it to any third party you choose to nominate.

Objection to Processing

You may object to further processing of your personal data where we have relied on the ground of legitimate interests unless Knauf Insulation can demonstrate compelling grounds to continue such processing which override your individual interests, rights, and freedoms. 

Pending verification of the latter, you may obtain restriction of further processing and, if Knauf Insulation cannot successfully demonstrate compelling legal grounds to continue processing, Knauf Insulation will erase the personal data.  

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

If you believe any of your rights have been breached in connection with processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office in Norway, the Data Protection Commissioner, or any other National Data Protection Authority in the EU.
